La Liga giants Barcelona could be afforded a helping hand by Manchester United in their efforts to make the signing of Marcus Rashford a permanent one next summer.
That’s according to Diario Sport, citing English outlet ‘The Sun’, who have on Sunday provided an insight into the situation.
Frontman Rashford has for his part of course spent recent weeks establishing himself as a key figure in Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad.
After something of a shaky start to life in Catalunya’s capital, the Englishman has begun to showcase his unquestionable talent through a string of fine performances.
After finding the net in Barcelona’s defeat at the hands of Sevilla last weekend, Rashford made it seven direct goal contributions in his last seven appearances.
With such fine form comes inevitable chatter surrounding the 27-year-old’s long-term place at the Camp Nou.
The understanding is that, should Rashford continue to impress over the months ahead, Deco and co. will do their part to keep the attacker in Spain through next season and beyond.
And if the latest word stemming from the media this weekend is anything to go by, then the Blaugrana’s efforts towards as much could even be aided by Manchester United themselves.
As per a report from Sport:
‘According to ‘The Sun’, United could make it easier to get rid of Marcus: the total amount (€30 million) seems non-negotiable, but the fixed and variable amount could be adjusted.’
