Bradford City have confirmed that their away ticket allocation for Saturday's all-Yorkshire encounter against Doncaster Rovers has sold out as Graham Alexander's side look to continue their strong return to League One.

Doncaster and Bradford have both been among the third-tier's fast starters in the early weeks of the campaign, as the newly-promoted teams occupy fifth and third respectively heading into the first match of September.

Unsurprisingly, optimism is high in both camps as a result, and after what proved to be a hotly-contested match-up between the two sides in the dying weeks of last season's League Two automatic promotion and title race, Alexander and Grant McCann will be hoping to continue their positive starts to the current term, having lost just one match between them thus far.

Despite the Championship being absent from the EFL fixture calendar due to the current international break, this local derby represents one of League One's standout fixtures this weekend.

Bradford supporters have become synonymous for being one of the division's most passionate and loyal fanbases, with Valley Parade often full to the brim for home games, whilst those from West Yorkshire also travel in their numbers to back the Bantams on the road.

Granted, it is only an approximately 45-mile drive which takes just over one hour from BD8 to the Eco-Power Stadium, but those in Claret and Amber will once again be heavily supported by a travelling army of 3,000, with the club confirming via X that every ticket up for sale had been sold out ahead of Saturday's contest after they initially went on sale on August 12th.

Those of a Doncaster persuasion will also add to what will be a boisterous atmosphere in South Yorkshire, with every seat in the South Stand - directly opposite where the Bradford supporters will be housed - also sold out, although there are tickets still remaining in the West Stand, Family Stand and East Stand for home supporters.

The Bantams have played five away matches in League One and the EFL Cup so far this season and are yet to be supported by an allocation lower than the 1,199 who travelled to Stockport County for the comeback 2-1 victory at Edgeley Park last month, and have been backed by a total of 10,088 supporters on the road in the aforementioned quintet of games which included stunning victories over Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City of the Championship.

As mentioned previously, both sides are coming into Saturday's match on a high following strong starts to the season that continued with respective victories over Rotherham United and AFC Wimbledon.

Bradford are also just one of two sides - as well as league leaders and newly-relegated Cardiff City - to have not suffered defeat in the opening six league encounters, whilst Rovers' solitary defeat came on the road to Huddersfield Town in mid-August.

There was a crowd of 12,574 for this exact fixture five months ago which was full of drama as Aden Baldwin saw red for the Bantams before Doncaster sealed their return to League One with a 2-1 success, with Billy Sharp netting what proved to be the decisive goal after Tyreik Wright saw a penalty saved by Teddy Sharman-Lowe just seven minutes beforehand.

Despite sealing promotion the following week, also in incredible fashion, Alexander's side and the travelling support will hope to dish out some revenge and end the Reds' unbeaten home record in the process.
