There is a lot of money circulating in the world of football thanks to its massive popularity. Teams from all around the globe generate millions of pounds each year. However, there are some clubs that stand out from the rest in terms of value and revenue.
On top for 4 years in a row is once again Real Madrid. Despite the less fortunate season, the Spanish giants still managed to increase their worth by around £111 million.
Know that Real Madrid has been the most valuable team for a total of 10 years since 2007. The Los Blancos may also have the biggest fan base in the world. As well as the massive fan base, Real Madrid also draw significant numbers of neutral or opposition viewers, so it's little wonder they're a mainstay on so many betslips at football betting sites.
Next on the list is Manchester United. Despite its below-average performances in all competitions, the Red Devils still remain a highly valuable football club.
In the past, Manchester United was 1st in 8 separate years. Its last time on top was in 2018, when the team had an evaluation of £3.06 billion.
The current LaLiga champion is in the 3rd spot despite having financial difficulties in recent years. Barcelona also spent a lot of money on the Camp Nou stadium renovations, which began in 2023.
This club maintained the 3rd position over the last 3 seasons. In 2021, it even became the most valuable team in the world for the first time. But, it dropped to 2nd place the following year.
Liverpool has been in the 4th position since 2022. But, the club managed to increase its value by around £704 million since then, which is a staggering sum.
Before 2022, the Reds’ position on the list of most valuable clubs ranged between 5th and 10th. Let's see if Liverpool surpasses Barcelona before Manchester City goes past them.
Another English club that had an incredible growth in the past 15 years. In 2010, it had an evaluation of around £190 and now it’s worth £3.93 billion.
However, despite this incredible growth, Manchester City still struggles to go past the 5th spot. This team has either been the 5th or 6th most valuable club since 2015.
Bayern Munich is the only German club among the top 10 most valuable teams in the world. Its best position was 3rd, which it occupied in 2021. All other years, Bayern has mostly been 4th or 5th.
The past 3 years weren’t too fortunate for Bayern as the team occupied the 6th position. But, the club did manage to increase its value by around £220 million.
Paris Saint-Germain made a breakthrough into the top 10 in 2021, when it held the 9th spot. Since then, the club massively increased its market value.
We’re talking about a growth of around £1.6 billion since 2021. However, the team still can’t go past the 7th position, which it has occupied over the past 3 years.
Arsenal is back in the 8th spot, which it last held in 2021. As of May 2025, the club finally reached and surpassed that year's evaluation of £2.07 billion.
Before the Gunners’ financial downfall in 2021 and 2022, the club occupied positions from 3rd to 7th. But, its 31% revenue increase does look promising and may return the team among the top 5.
Many fans don't see Tottenham as one of the biggest clubs in the world. But, no one can deny that it's a highly profitable team. Its highest position on the list of top profitable clubs is 8th, which it held in 2024.
Before that, Spurs held positions between 9th and 14th. Keep in mind that the club had a revenue of £666 million in 2025, despite having a very bad season.
