Reports in Italy continue to link Inter with a potential move for Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga but the Frenchman is not expected to come cheaply for the Nerazzurri.

How much would it cost Inter to sign Camavinga?

According to reports over the last week, Camavinga is increasingly likely to be let go by Madrid during the summer transfer window.

It is expected that Inter will be in the market for a new midfielder this summer: Cristian Chivu is hoping to add several reinforcements to his squad, including at cenre-back, at wing-back and in midfield.

For several months it has been reported that Roma’s Manu Kone is a potential option for the Nerazzurri this summer, but the Corriere della Sera and Calciomercato.com report that Camavinga is emerging as a potential alternative.

Real Madrid’s valuation of Camavinga is similar to Roma’s price tag for Kone, both expected to cost somewhere in the region of €50m. Calciomercato claims that it will take a fee of €40m-€45m to convince Madrid into selling the Frenchman, while reports elsewhere claim it will be €50m.

Camavinga will also command a significant wage packet as well, as he currently earns a gross salary of €12.5m per season at the Bernabeu (Estimated to be around €7.5m net with all bonuses included).

This would reportedly put Camavinga in the same wage bracket as the likes of Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu in San Siro, but would still be below the club’s highest earner, captain Lautaro Martinez.

There are also several other sides in the Premier League reported to be interested in a potential deal for Camavinga including Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool. Juventus had also briefly been mentioned as a possible option for the Frenchman, albeit only on loan.
