It has been a slow-moving transfer window for the Foxes under the new management of Marti Cifuentes, with the former Queens Park Rangers boss unable to fully stamp his authority on the current squad and mould a side into one he can very much call his own.

As such, much of the discourse relating to transfer activity at the King Power Stadium up to now has focused on the potential high-profile losses of stars such as Bilal El Khannouss and Abdul Fatawu, rather than those moving to this part of the East Midlands in order to aid a sustained promotion bid for the newly-relegated outfit.

Ivanovic has also been in the news for large parts of the transfer window, with the Serbian subject to heavy transfer speculation linking him away from the Den, just a year after moving to South London for a reported £2.8m from Vojvodina in a then-club-record move.

It could take some effort from Leicester if they were to see the highly-rated attacker move across the Championship in the remaining days of the transfer window, and Football League World has looked at the financial elements that could be attached to this potential transfer.

According to Football Insider, the former Premier League champions have made an enquiry to Alex Neil's side regarding the possibility of acquiring the 20-year-old's signature.

The forward, who previously netted 10 goals in 48 appearances for Vojvodina after coming through the ranks at Sampdoria, left a serious impression on supporters and onlookers during his first season in the Championship, as Millwall fell narrowly short of a play-off spot after enjoying a serious momentum shift in Neil's first months in charge.

In total, the striker netted 13 times in 42 appearances, which included a stunning scissor-kick finish against Luton Town in January. However, his current skill and future potential don't necessarily align with his ESTIMATED weekly wage, which, according to Capology, is just £2,000 per week.

This equates to a sum of just £104,000 across the season as a whole, and whilst that, normally, wouldn't be an unreasonable sum for a player of Ivanovic's age, the fact he was signed on a club-record deal at the time makes it seem rather baffling.

As a result, he is one of the Lions' lowest earners and £33,000 per week behind the ESTIMATED salary taken home by Japhet Tanganga, who is in talks with Sheffield United after Football League World exclusively revealed the Blades' interest in the defender.

Mihailo Ivanovic would hope for significant wage increase if Leicester City, Millwall agreement is sealed

When looking at Leicester's current salaries - as per Capology - the lowest earner, Ben Nelson, is taking home £7,500 per week, meaning Ivanovic would surely hope for a significant increase, especially after his proven ability in the second tier and prior interest from clubs such as Lazio, Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

At present, Leicester's current centre-forward options are earning a mixture of high and low salaries, with Patson Daka collecting a weekly wage of £75,000, whilst Bobby De Cordova-Reid earns £35,000 and Jordan Ayew takes home £30,000.

Given the fact that the Foxes still remain under a cloud of financial uncertainty amid claims of a points' deduction, it remains to be seen what sort of wage Ivanovic could be looking at, but the Serbian will feel he is at least worthy of a double-figure wage when taking an array of factors into account.
