West Brom are closing in on the signing of Carter Pinnington from Liverpool
West Brom will be hoping for a much stronger season next year after narrowly avoiding relegation to League One.
The Baggies finished 21st in the Championship table, just four points clear of the bottom three.
James Morrison oversaw their survival, which earned him the position of permanent head coach after initially being appointed on an interim basis.
He replaced Eric Ramsay, who lasted just 44 days before being dismissed, having taken on the role in January following Ryan Mason’s exit.
It was a disastrous campaign for Albion, who will now be looking to the transfer market in order to bolster their first team squad.
The summer window has now officially opened, and will run until 1 September, giving clubs months to sort out deals ahead of the new campaign.

It has been reported by the Daily Mail that West Brom will not have to pay a transfer fee to seal the signing of centre-back Carter Pinnington from Liverpool.
It’s understood that the two clubs have reached an agreement that will rely on add-ons and performance-related bonuses instead of a single-cost fee.
The 19-year-old has yet to break into senior football, having come through the Reds’ academy system, but is set to make the permanent switch to the Hawthorns.
He could be the club’s second signing of the summer, with a £1.3 million deal for Jimmy-Jay Morgan also being lined up.
The Baggies have fended off competition from Crystal Palace to win the race to Pinnington’s signature.
It’s believed that a sell-on clause will also be inserted into the agreement with the Premier League team, meaning a percentage of any future sale will be owed to Liverpool.
Pinnington will bolster the team’s defensive options, with the youngster also capable of competing as a full-back, as well as a defensive midfielder.
West Brom have a number of options for their backline already, but could be set for some exits this summer after their disappointing Championship season.
Nat Phillips will know of Pinnington from his time at Liverpool, and he could be an obvious choice to work more closely with the 19-year-old once this deal is confirmed.
Morrison will also have the likes of Krystian Bielik, Chris Mepham and George Campbell to choose from at the back, as things stand.
However, the market is open until 1 September, and the possibility remains that some players could leave the Hawthorns before then.

Pinnington didn't get a chance in the Liverpool first team, and the change in manager doesn’t look like that was going to impact things positively for the defender.
So a move to West Brom gives him the opportunity to show what he can do at a Championship level, which is an exciting step in his career.
The structure of the deal works well for all parties, as it gives West Brom a player at a low cost that could become quite a valuable asset in the future.
And if he does meet his potential, then Liverpool will be rewarded with the bonuses and add-ons, as well as possibly a decent fee from the sell-on clause.
