Cottagers eye another upset after sinking Tottenham
Fulham are out to build on Saturday’s defeat of Tottenham as they welcome Pep Guardiola’s Man City to Craven Cottage.
Kenny Tete and Harry Wilson had the Cottagers two clear with less than ten minutes played at Hotspur Stadium, and they held on to condemn Thomas Frank’s side to another disappointing loss.
Marco Silva will be keen to take Fulham’s winning run to three matches, and stands a chance of doing so against a wobbling City side.
Guardiola’s men were arguably fortunate to beat Leeds at the weekend, edging out a 3-2 victory thanks to Phil Foden’s 91st-minute strike, and were beaten by both Bayer Leverkusen and Newcastle in previous outings.
The dip in form is partly down to the stuttering Erling Haaland, who is now without a goal in his last three appearances.
Guardiola has acknowledged that he is facing a difficult match against Fulham, but said he is looking forward to seeing the sights of west London: “[Facing Fulham is] always a really tough game. Difficult. Their organisation is exceptional.
“Every year, I have a feeling that with the ball they are better and even better. I saw their games these days, yesterday and today - against Chelsea, against Arsenal, last games against Sunderland.
“It's always so difficult for the opponent to break up. [It] always have been in this beautiful stadium in London.”
TV channel: In the UK, the game will be televised live on Sky Sports, with kick-off scheduled for 7.30pm GMT.
Coverage will be across Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League, with build-up live from 7pm.
Live stream: Sky Sports subscribers can also catch the contest live online via the Sky Go app.
