Gunners kick off pre-season against recently relegated Spaniards

Arsenal kick off their pre-season campaign this evening, facing Girona in Spain.

A testing campaign looms for the Gunners as Mikel Arteta and his men look to build on the title-winning success of the previous season, in which they ended a 22-year wait to win the Premier League.

They have been patient in the transfer window, losing out on a move for Morgan Rogers but bringing in the prolific Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis, who will hope to make his full debut here.
