Bees looking to revive push for Europe as Pep Guardiola eyes another vital three points in title race
Manchester City will look to keep the pressure on Arsenal in the title race as they host Brentford this afternoon.
Pep Guardiola’s side stumbled last time out as they were held to a 3-3 draw by Everton.
The result was almost worse, too, as City were forced to equalise deep in injury time through Jeremy Doku.
They still have a game in hand, but now sit five points adrift of Arsenal as the business end of the season approaches. If the Gunners win all three of their remaining matches, they will be crowned champions.
The most City can do, then, is keep the pressure on by winning their own remaining matches, with their run-in continuing today with the visit of Brentford.
Keith Andrews’ Bees, on the other hand, are looking to qualify for Europe for the first time. They come into this matchday sitting seventh but in a grim run of form, with last week’s defeat of West Ham their first league win since February 28.
To take three points back to west London would be a huge boost to their own Champions League hopes, but would also give Arsenal a huge boost in their pursuit of the Premier League title.
TV channel: In the UK, the game will be televised live on Sky Sports. Coverage starts at 5pm BST on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League ahead of a 5.30pm kick-off.
