This one matters a lot for Inter Miami CF as they try to get into the MLS Cup Playoffs. They’re 6th in the East with 49 points, a win would lock them into the playoffs and keep their Supporters’ Shield hopes alive. Head coach Javier Mascherano has called every game a “final” and said winning is key to not making mistakes. Good news for Miami fans: Lionel Messi is back from injury and will start.
D.C. United is already out of the playoffs but they’re playing to finish the season strong. Under interim head coach René Weiler they’ve been unbeaten in their last 5 games, showing some guts despite injuries and suspensions. While the stakes aren’t as high for D.C. United, they’ll want to end the season on a high note.

Inter Miami is at home against a struggling D.C. United team, so the pink squad is clearly the favorite. The Herons have a strong home record and are competing for the playoffs, while D.C. United is already eliminated from playoff contention and has only won one of their last 13 matches.
