Josh Windass has been linked with a move to Rangers this January
Wrexham have no intention of letting Josh Windass go this January amid interest from Rangers.
According to Football Insider, the Red Dragons have no plans to sell the attacking midfielder during the winter window.
Windass made the move to the Welsh outfit last summer following the club’s promotion to the Championship and his departure from Sheffield Wednesday.
The 31-year-old arrived as a free agent after he had his contract with the Owls terminated following financial issues behind the scenes of his former club.
Windass also previously played for Rangers, spending two years at Ibrox, from 2016 to 2018, where he made over 50 appearances.

Wrexham are unlikely to sanction the sale of Windass in the January transfer window despite interest in a deal from Rangers.
It’s believed that the Scottish giants are keen on bringing the 31-year-old back to Ibrox for the second half of the campaign, as they look to climb the Premiership table under Danny Rohl.
The German coach previously worked with Windass when they were both at Sheffield Wednesday, and he is understood to be keen on a reunion.
However, Wrexham have their sights set on competing for a play-off place this season, and have no intention of sanctioning the playmaker’s exit.
Windass is seen as a key part of Phil Parkinson’s side, as they push for promotion to the Premier League this term.
The Red Dragons have earned promotion in each of the last three campaigns, enjoying a meteoric rise up the English football pyramid.
The Welsh outfit are currently 10th in the table after 24 games, with a 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers on Thursday leaving them just three points adrift of the play-off places.
Next up for Wrexham is a trip to face Derby County on 4 January in a 3pm kick-off.

Windass was a free agent in the summer, and his pick of clubs after a strong season with Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship.
But he opted for a move to Wrexham, and he has performed well in the time since joining the side.
So it would be strange if he sought a switch away from the Red Dragons so soon, particularly because he’s so important to the team and they’re so close to the play-offs.
While he has history with both Rohl and Rangers, a move away from Wrexham at this stage just wouldn’t make sense for the club or player.
