‘I am convinced it will happen’: Manchester City star backed for future Real Madrid move | OneFootball

Irrespective of which club they are playing for, it is no surprise to see even some of the biggest superstars in football dreaming of playing for Real Madrid. Being one of the most successful and celebrated clubs in Europe, the Merengue side’s attraction for top-level talent remains beyond doubt.

In recent days, there have been reports of players like Michael Olise and Rodri Hernandez dreaming of playing for Los Blancos. Another superstar who is a fan of Real Madrid and dreams of playing for them at some point in his career is the Norwegian forward Erling Haaland.

One of Haaland’s former teammates at Molde, Magnus Wolff Eikrem, who used to play for Manchester United for some time, appeared in an interview with Diario AS and expressed his belief that Haaland will one day play for Real Madrid:

“I think it is something that could perfectly happen. In fact, I am convinced it will happen someday. I would not say I am completely certain, but I do see many possibilities. Real Madrid’s power of attraction around the world is immense, and although he is at a great club like City, I think he would reach a higher level at Madrid.

The best players in the world play there, and Erling is one of them. I believe he would score a huge number of goals, fit in well, win over the fans, and enjoy playing surrounded by so many great stars who are as good as he is.”

The former Manchester United player had no doubts that the Norwegian will be able to adapt to Real Madrid despite the presence of other big stars like Mbappe and Vinicius:

 “I’m sure he would fit in very well. Haaland does not cause problems. He is a humble person who works hard, he does not seek to take all the spotlight, he has a good relationship with his teammates, and he adapts to any situation. He is someone who is empathetic and has a good character. I’m sure there would be no ego problems, at least from his side.”

There is no doubt that Haaland would be an astronomical signing for Real Madrid, especially as he will get to play with some of the other biggest superstars in Europe, like Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, and Jude Bellingham.

But despite some recent links, it seems highly unlikely that such a transfer will take place this summer. The Merengues have already spent a significant amount on the four signings they have made so far, and are also being linked with big-money moves for players like Yan Diomande, Michael Olise, and Rodri Hernandez.

Still, most Real Madrid fans would be keen to see Erling Haaland in their team, if not this summer, maybe in the coming few years.
