The Telegraph reporter Matt Law has given an injury update on Chelsea’s Cole Palmer as he’s not been pictured in training.

Palmer has been struggling with a groin injury but it has never seemed to be anything too serious. However, after searching through all the training pictures so far this week, Palmer has not been pictured at all so far but I guess there is still a chance he returns today.

It’s been a bit of an ongoing issue for Palmer and he has missed the last two international breaks. I’m unsure if that was down to the same injury, but I do know that he has been struggling with his latest injury since before the Club World Cup but he has been playing through pain along with pain relief.

Palmer is obvious Chelsea’s talisman and he is such an important player for for the team and for manager Enzo Maresca. So any absences for Palmer is going to noticed. Hopefully, he can be back soon, and Matt Law actually has some positive news on this one.

Speaking on The London is Blue Podcast this week, Law said on Palmer:

“I was told not too long ago not to be too worried about Cole. Cole is very much a management issue; being careful and sensible with him. I’d hope that he’s back after the international break & there’s nothing to worry about there.”

How often do we hear from former Chelsea captain Dennis Wise? I can’t even remember the last time. Well, this week we have heard from him, and he is excited about the new regime at Chelsea and going forward!

Meanwhile, another former Blue, Joe Cole, is unsure about whether Chelsea can do anything in the Champions League whilst Robert Sanchez is in goal!
