Zlatan Ibrahimovic explained why he hasn’t been seen in a few weeks and dished on their search for a new director before the clash with Napoli (via Corriere dello Sport).

“I’ve chopped off my hair, and my body went into shock. Joking aside, I’ve been sick and dealt with a virus for a while, and even lost three kilos. But I feel better now, and I’m here to help everybody on and off the pitch like in the past, the present, and the future.”

Ibrahimovic was asked about the upcoming hire.

“There’s a lot of buzz about this new addition, but we are all on the same page. We’re talking every day to understand what we need and don’t need. The reports about me fighting with CEO Giorgio Furlani are all fake and made up. We converse constantly about all sorts of topics. I hope things will go better for us in matches and also in the other areas.”

Ibrahimovic revealed that he was close to Napoli in the past.

“It’s true. It happened five or six years ago, but it didn’t go through, so maybe it wasn’t meant to be. I’ve nice memories of this stadium. Entering it gave me a rush of adrenaline. If I recall well, I had a brace in my last match here. It’s true that Fabio Cannavaro used to drive me around, but I can’t reveal everything.”

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the latest addition to the Milan shortlist to bolster the front office is Napoli official Giovanni Manna. There haven’t contacts between the two sides at this stage. The Rossoneri dream of poaching Antonio Conte, who has deep ties also with Fabio Paratici.
