Former Chelsea player Pat Nevin has named Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as his dream summer signing for the club.

The Blues have been busy in the transfer window already and have signed Tosin Adarabioyo, Estevao Willian who will join in 2025, Omari Kellyman, Marc Guiu, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Portugal under-20 international Renato Veiga is set to become the club’s sixth summer signing after Chelsea agreed a deal worth €14m with Swiss side FC Basel, but the Blues are still thought to be in the market for a striker and winger.

Nevin would love Chelsea to sign Kvaratskhelia

Chelsea wanted to sign Michael Olise from Crystal Palace, but pulled out of a deal as they thought the finances involved were beyond their reach.

Despite having the likes of Noni Madueke, Mykhailo Mudryk and Raheem Sterling, with Cole Palmer and Christopher Nkunku who can also play in the wide areas, Chelsea are looking at bringing a wide player in.

The club have been linked with Leeds star Crysencio Summerville who could be available for around £30m, with Liverpool also interested, but nothing has materialised yet.

Keeping on the theme of wingers, ex-Blue Nevin has named his dream summer signing as Kvaratskhelia, adding he would love to see him in the Premier League.

Kvaratskhelia is Nevin’s dream signing for Chelsea.

“My dream signing for Chelsea this summer is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia,” he told Genting Casinos.

“He’s a great player with a great personality and he’s old school and modern at the same time.

“He’s doing it for Georgia and Napoli, put him in a top team and he could be extra special.

“I’d love to see him playing in the Premier League. Absolutely love it. If Chelsea can make one big signing, that would be the one.

“He’s skilful, he dribbles, he runs with the ball, he’s good in the air, he takes players on. You name it. He also does it while smiling and loving every second of it.”

The 23-year-old has been involved in a war of words with Napoli, with both his agent and his father saying they want him to leave the club, but the Serie A outfit have remained firm on their stance that he’s not leaving.

The Georgian would no doubt improve Chelsea, but any deal would be very pricey, and right now seems very unlikely to happen.
