Iker Casillas does not want Mourinho at Real Madrid | OneFootball

According to Glorioso 1904, Iker Casillas, who faced Benfica several times during his Porto spell, has reiterated that he does not want Mourinho to take charge at Real Madrid.

He wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that he has no issue with Mourinho and considers him a great professional, but prefers others for Madrid and stressed it was simply personal opinion.

The post came after he faced online criticism for an earlier comment on Madrid’s season, which he said reflected Toni Kroos’s analysis. He called the reaction from a section of fans remarkable and said he did not care.

Casillas had already outlined his stance at a recent La Liga event, saying Xabi Alonso was the ideal coach for Madrid, the perfect fit if offered continuity and trust.

Meanwhile, Mourinho has been increasingly linked with the club led by Florentino Pérez, a prospect that does not convince the former Porto goalkeeper.
