Juventus owner John Elkann is scheduled to meet with Luciano Spalletti and Damien Comolli to reshape responsibilities within the club and grant the coach greater decision-making authority in the transfer market.
Juventus are preparing for next season, but, contrary to Milan, the Bianconeri are expected to make no major personnel changes.
Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Elkann is set to meet with coach Spalletti and CEO Comolli shortly, probably even today, to revisit the club’s organisation after the team failed to qualify for the Champions League this season.
Spalletti has demanded more authority over transfer decisions, and according to both Gazzetta and Tuttosport, Elkann feels the coach’s request is legitimate, so Comolli will be asked to cooperate more with the Italian tactician on new signings and departures.
Tuttosport highlights that Elkann will require more ‘flexibility’ from Comolli, delegating to Spalletti ‘the choices that concern his sphere of influence, especially in the transfer market.’

‘Comolli has already hinted that algorithmic choices will be scaled back, in favour of a vision that satisfies the coach through and through,’ wrote Tuttosport.
Previous reports claimed that Comolli and Spalletti have had multiple disagreements over transfer decisions and the club management.

According to Tuttosport, Juventus are also considering the return of Matteo Tognozzi, currently the sporting director of Rio Ave, who previously worked at the Allianz Stadium as Head of Scouting. Giorgio Chiellini is reportedly backing Tognozzi’s return, but not all club components feel the same.
The Juventus management has already changed drastically over the last year, first with the appointment of Damien Comolli, first as General Manager and then as CEO, but also with the appointment of François Modesto as Technical Director and Marco Ottolini as sporting director.
