Depending on how much money Liverpool have in their transfer kitty this summer, it feels like a fair few changes are on their way.

Even though the club spent an obscene amount of money on new players at the start of the season, things just haven't gone the way that they'd hoped.

And, now that they'll have to replace Andy Robertson and Mohamed Salah, there's never been more of a need for the Anfield outfit to start exploring the market for new talent.

Liverpool are no longer able to add any trophies to their cabinet this season which means that next term, they'll be going all out to bring some joy back to L4 and, in order to do this, some new faces will need to be brought in as soon as possible.

Eduardo Camavinga is ready to accept offers to exit Real Madrid this summer

If you'd have said to Liverpool fans at the start of the season that they'd need to bring in some new midfielders in the 2026-27 summer transfer window, they'd have thought you were having them on.

Arne Slot chose to spend £116 million on Florian Wirtz and, since others such as Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, Curtis Jones and Dominik Szoboszlai were already among their ranks, it felt like they were fairly stacked in the middle of the park.

However, since Mac Allister seems to have lost about five yards of pace and Gravenberch is a fraction of his former self, their midfield looks half as good as it used to.

All of these reasons coupled with the fact that Curtis Jones could also be on his way out means that a new midfielder is one of the Reds' top priorities.

So, now that Eduardo Camavinga is willing to listen to offers from other clubs, Liverpool could be well on their way to signing one of their long-term targets.

That is, if an update from Spanish journalist Ruben Martin is to be believed.

"Real Madrid has treated this season as a final exam for Camavinga, and the Frenchman has been far from passing," he wrote.

"At the club, they don't view separating their paths in a bad light, and the midfielder, despite feeling that Madrid is his home, might accept reality and consider offers."

Eduardo Camavinga would transform Liverpool's team in more ways than one

Although the price tag for Camavinga is likely to be fairly hefty, the fact that he's been described as an "incredible" player in the past says all you need to know about the Frenchman.

His natural position is as a holding midfielder but Real Madrid have often played the youngster in left-back which would be perfect for Liverpool.

The Frenchman has also played in many other positions but left-back and defensive midfield is likely where he'd be deployed by Slot.

Camavinga may not have had the best season of his career this term with his recent red card against Bayern Munich in the Champions League seemingly costing Real a place in the semi-final but, in reality, he's still an exceptional talent.

Since joining Los Blancos in the 2021-22 season, the midfielder has played 217 games for the La Liga giants and has even contributed to 17 goals across all competitions.

He's also only 23 years old so the fact that he still has room to grow makes him an even better investment for the future.

Of all the midfielders that Liverpool have been linked with, Camavinga is definitely the best one for them to go for, especially if they want to transform their team for the 2025-26 campaign.
