Next Saturday, 14 June, the biggest tournament club football has ever seen is to start - and our Red Bulls are a part of it! While the excitement is building by the day as we continue the countdown to the FIFA Club World Cup, we have summarised all the key info for you here.
Already have tickets? All those to have purchased tickets should receive an email from FIFA in the coming days as soon as digital tickets for accessing the stadium can be shown. Details can be found in our away info article.
Tickets still available: fans who have not yet booked a seat can still get tickets for our matches on the official FIFA ticket portal, with only official resale tickets available for the group stage clash against Real Madrid. Details on tickets can be obtained from FIFA:
The 32 participating teams from the six international confederations AFC, CAF, CONCACAF, CONMEBOL, OFC and UEFA have been divided into eight groups of four teams each. Each team will play three matches in the group stage, with the top two making the last 16. There will then be single knockout ties until the final determines the world champions.
It all starts for us on Wednesday 18 June (18:00 local time/24:00 Austrian time) in Cincinnati against our Mexican opponents CF Pachuca. On Sunday 22 June (18:00 local time/24:00 Austrian time) we will then go to Washington D. C. to face Al Hilal, before we have our final group stage match against Real Madrid in Philadelphia on Thursday 26 June (21:00 local time/03:00 Austrian time).
We have already taken a closer look at our group-stage opponents in an article you can read below.
The entire tournament structure with all 63 matches and possible knockout pairings can be VIEWED AS A PDF HERE. Club Leon were not allowed to take part despite initially qualifying. Their spot was taken by the winners of a play-off between CF America (MEX) and Los Angeles FC (USA), in which the Americans won.
All the matches of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will be broadcast for free on streaming service DAZN, for which you just need an account (with no subscription needed).
We will of course provide all the information about our matches on our usual channels, with live text updates on our website as usual as well as highlights from each match at 10:00 Austrian time the following morning!
The biggest prize in club football came to Salzburg - the spectacular newly created Club World Cup trophy was paraded through the cities of the clubs represented as part of an official Trophy Tour, including in our beloved home city! On Saturday 29 March the showpiece was exhibited to the public at the Theaterplatz in Europark. Details and a picture gallery can be found here:
The key to our qualification was our performances in the UEFA Champions League between 2020/21 and 2023/24. A total of 12 European teams qualified, with the last four Champions League winners making it, while the remaining eight places were allocated according to UEFA club coefficients. A maximum of two teams per nation were allowed to qualify via that route.
Our team and staff will travel to the USA on 13 June, some five days before our first match. Our base camp for the tournament will be in New Jersey, from where we will fly (to Cincinnati and Washington) and take the bus (to Philadelphia) to our matches. We will train in the New York Red Bulls training centre around 15 minutes away, where two public training sessions are being planned for 14 June. Details are to follow.
