Simon Collings reports for Standard Sport that Ben White is hoping to return to the Arsenal squad this weekend, having missed the Gunners’ last two games and the international break through injury.
White is reportedly progressing well in his recovery, and Arsenal will assess him over the coming days before making their final call.
With games coming up against the likes of Manchester City and Newcastle United later this month, Collings adds that Arsenal won’t rush White back, and the same goes for Bukayo Saka and William Saliba.

Charlie Wyett reported ahead of the international break that White wants to play for England again and would have been in Thomas Tuchel’s squad this month, but his injury issue forced him to miss out.
White had started the season in Mikel Arteta’s starting lineup, playing 71 minutes against Manchester United, but Jurrien Timber has had to take up that starting spot since then.

The good news with Timber is that he’s only played 28 minutes as a substitute for the Netherlands over the international break, with their last game taking place on Sunday.
By the time Saturday’s game against Nottingham Forest comes around, Timber will have played less than half an hour of football in just a little under a fortnight. He should be rested and ready to play regardless of whether White is available.
