According to the report, Timber is struggling with a groin injury suffer during Arsenal’s win over Southampton.

But the issue isn’t believed to be serious, and Timber is hopeful he won’t have to miss any further games with Arsenal.

Timber has been a very consistent member of the Arsenal starting lineup whenever he’s been fit this season, starting 37 of the 44 matches he’s been available for.

Of the other seven games, four were in the domestic cups, and he was only an unused substitute once – against Port Vale in the League Cup third round.

The 24-year-old defender has had a few injury setbacks throughout the season, but none of them have been too serious so far. His current two-game run out of the team is the longest he’s gone without an appearance.

Given Arsenal’s April contains an FA Cup quarter-final, a Champions League quarter-final, potential FA Cup and Champions League semi-finals, and Premier League games against Bournemouth, Manchester City, and Newcastle United, the Gunners need their best players fit.
