According to a recent report from MARCA, Eduardo Camavinga has successfully passed his medical examination and is now ready to feature in the upcoming derby against Atletico Madrid.

The news comes as a relief for the team, especially given the concerns about Camavinga’s fitness following an injury to his left knee during training before the European Super Cup.

For the past few days, the midfielder has been working quietly behind the scenes, away from media attention, focusing on his recovery. His efforts have paid off, as the latest reports are optimistic about his condition.

With Camavinga now back in the mix, Real Madrid regain a crucial piece in their midfield puzzle. However, the final decision on whether he plays – and how much time he gets on the pitch – will be left to Carlo Ancelotti.

Confusion for Ancelotti

Ancelotti now faces a tactical dilemma regarding whether to ease Camavinga back into the squad or to take a bold move by starting him.

The Frenchman was initially seen as a doubt for the match, but his recent progress is encouraging. Real Madrid have carefully monitored his recovery process, ensuring that he is in peak condition for his return.

While it is common for players recovering from injury to be reintroduced gradually, Real Madrid’s current midfield situation might accelerate Camavinga’s comeback.

With Aurelien Tchouameni, Federico Valverde, and Jude Bellingham almost certain to start, one more slot in the midfield remains open. Kylian Mbappe’s absence due to injury offers Ancelotti more flexibility in his tactical approach.

The decision for that fourth midfielder spot will likely be between veterans Luka Modric and Camavinga or youngster Arda Guler.

Had Camavinga been fully fit, his starting position would have been almost guaranteed. However, with Modric in the mix and ready to lead the team, Ancelotti might opt for the Croatian to bring stability.

The final call will depend on how confident Ancelotti feels about Camavinga’s readiness to take on Atletico. Either way, it is clear that Camavinga’s return comes at a crucial moment for the club.
