France will fly to the United States on Tuesday for a pre-2026 World Cup tour, facing Brazil on Thursday and Colombia on Sunday. According to Le Progres, they will already spend two nights at Boston's Four Seasons, earmarked as their tournament base.
The 26-player squad will familiarise themselves with the hotel, about 30 minutes from their training centre. The property was not on FIFA's accommodation catalogue, which covers qualified teams' costs, yet it appealed to the French delegation.
Didier Deschamps said the priority is comfort over absolute luxury, closely linked to the sporting facilities. He added that daily life should be as functional and pleasant as possible, noting you do not win matches there but you can lose them that way.
The five-star, Victorian-style hotel has an indoor pool, a spa and a gym. Staff have requested tweaks to the relaxation areas and the room used for meals.
Built beside a park, its entry-level rooms average about 1,000 euros per night, and it has been fully reserved for the World Cup. The setting offers outdoor space, an aspect not considered in Budapest at Euro 2021. Bright communal areas also impressed the French party.
