Manchester United are in no mood to renegotiate terms with Barcelona regarding the transfer of Marcus Rashford.
The 28-year-old finally fulfilled his dream of joining the Blaugrana last summer.

The Englishman was part of Ruben Amorim’s so-called ‘bomb squad, a group of five players who were omitted from the Portuguese manager’s plans. In fact, Rashford was arguably the original member of the group, having been expelled from the squad as early as December, which prompted a six-month spell at Aston Villa.
Luckily for the Manchester native, he is once again enjoying his football. Although he’s not an automatic starter at Camp Nou, he has been highly effective for his new employers, scoring 10 goals and providing 13 assists in his 37 appearances.
Nevertheless, the attacker’s future has yet to be confirmed. After all, he only joined Barcelona on loan until the end of the season.
The Blaugrana have the option to buy him for €30 million, but recent reports claimed they’re hoping to renegotiate new terms with Man Utd. In other words, the Catalans are hoping to sign Rashford on a lower figure.
But according to The National journalist Andy Mitten, Man Utd aren’t willing to change the original terms, insisting on collecting the full value of the buy clause.
The Man Utd insider adds that if Barcelona refuse to activate the €30m option, the Red Devils would be happy to bring the player back in the summer.
But while recent reports claimed that Michael Carrick would like to reinstate Rashford in his squad, Mitten quashes this rumour, insisting that the 28-year-old certainly wouldn’t dwell at Carrington beyond the summer, as the club isn’t keen to accommodate him and his hefty wages.
Instead, INEOS are confident suitors would be lining up for the Englishman’s services, so they’d be able to collect a decent transfer fee, especially following his exploits in Spain.
Mitten believes the remaining few months of the campaign will be crucial for Rashford, who will have to deliver the goods at the business end of the season to dispel all doubts about his suitability for the Barcelona project.
Rashford has also been advised to stay away from the toxic British media, as Gary Lineker put it, and try his best to extend his stay in sunny Catalunya, where he can focus primarily on his football.
