Inter attend the Madrid NFl game | OneFootball

A special weekend for the NFL. On Sunday, 16 December, the league held the week 11 regular season game between the Miami Dolphins and Washington Commanders at Madrid' Estádio Santiago Bernabéu.

For years now, the NFL has organised games in Europe to grow the game on the continent. As a result, the 2025 Madrid Game was a chance for Inter to reinforce its bond with the League.

During the FIFA Club World Cup in the USA, Inter ran various activations with American football teams. The Nerazzurri welcome special guests to the camp in LA and Seattle, including the LA Chargers' Cameron Dicker, Rylie Mills of the Seattle Seahawks, and Seahawks legend Cliff Avril. Furthermore, during the World Cup, the Club welcomed Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud to the Inter HQ in Milano.

Inter legend and Club Hall of Famer Christian Vieri was in Madrid over the weekend. On Saturday, Bobo, himself a big fan of American football, got a taste of the atmosphere of an NFL International Game. He took part in some of the games at the Fan Village, showing the special Inter x NFL jersey, which the Club launched in the summer. It was a chance to connect with the many fans present and to visit the stands of our NFL partners at the village.

On Sunday, it was gameday. For the game between the Dolphins and the Commanders, Vieri went back to the Bernabéu, where he played on many occasions throughout his footballing career, but this time the stadium had a completely new look, transformed for American football. The former Inter striker met NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Miami Dolphins legend Dan Marino, before watching the game, which ended in a 16-13 victory for the Dolphins.

All in all, it was a wonderful weekend, one dedicated to passion for sports in a meeting between two codes of football. It's a journey upon which Inter embarked in the United States, and that bond has just been strengthened in Madrid.
