There have been a few rumours that United may try to talk Casemiro into making a U-turn, but those talks have been repeatedly squashed by both parties.

With Casemiro now up for grabs, several clubs are sizing up a move.

Saudi Pro League (SPL) clubs are interested in Casemiro, with the Public Investment Fund (PIF) plotting another mega splurge this summer.

There has also been interest from LA Galaxy and clubs in Serie A, but Miami are understood to be leading the race to sign the Brazil international.

The reigning MLS Cup champions have now opened talks with the player’s representatives ahead of a potential summer switch.

Miami are hoping to significantly bolster its squad to reduce some of the pressure on Lionel Messi.

The David Beckham-led club want to sign more high-profile players to increase their chances of establishing themselves in the upper echelons of MLS.

Casemiro is now considered a primary target, and talks are ongoing.

He was a train wreck under Ruben Amorim’s leadership and was constantly exposed by his tactical set-up.

However, interim manager Michael Carrick has done well to mask the ageing midfielder’s vulnerabilities, and he has significantly improved over the past couple of months.

Casemiro has also become a lethal weapon for United in the final third, notching seven goals and two assists in 29 Premier League games.

United are already scouring the market for an ideal replacement and have several players across Europe on their extensive shortlist.

Casemiro’s next move could land him in the United States, lining up alongside Messi in Miami after notching 24 goals and 14 assists in 155 appearances for United.
