Inter Milan head coach Simone Inzaghi has on Monday provided an insight into his plans to keep Barcelona star Lamine Yamal under wraps in the upcoming meeting between the sides.
Wide-man Lamine, of course, proved himself the star of the show against Inter last week.
Upon the Nerazzurri making the trip to Catalunya’s capital for the first leg of a Champions League semi-final clash, Barcelona’s prodigious young winger nothing short of tore them apart.
En route to an eventual 3-3 draw between the sides, Lamine took his teammates on his shoulders, willing the Blaugrana into a comeback from two goals down courtesy of a scintillating display out wide.
It should, in turn, come as little surprise to hear of special plans being drawn up for Lamine on the part of the aforementioned Inter Milan.
Speaking during his press conference ahead of tomorrow’s semi-final return leg at San Siro, Simone Inzaghi was asked how he and his staff intend to account for the brilliance of Barca’s attacking starlet.
And the Italian tactician went on to admit:
“We have to try to make sure he doesn’t get the ball, but that’s impossible. Obviously, he’ll be double-marked, he’ll be a marked man, and we’ll try to keep a close eye on him.”
