Inter Milan Captain Declares: ‘We’re Ready For Monaco & AC MIlan’ | OneFootball

Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez feels that the Nerazzurri are very much ready for their upcoming matches against Monaco and AC Milan.

The Argentine spoke to InterTV after yesterday’s Serie A win over Lecce, via FCInterNews. He gave his thoughts on the team’s upcoming commitments in Serie A and the Champions League.

Inter secured an important win in Serie A yesterday. They beat Lecce by an emphatic 4-0 scoreline.

Those three points were enough for Inter to keep the pressure on Napoli in the Serie A title race.

However, there will be little time to dwell on that big victory.

Already on Wednesday, Inter are in action once again. They take on Monaco in a Champions League outing that could be decisive for the “league phase” of the competition.

Then, next weekend, Inter take on AC Milan in the second league derby of the season.

The Rossoneri have already beaten Inter twice this season, in Serie A and the Champions League. Therefore, the Nerazzurri will certainly have revenge on their minds, beyond the importance of the fixture for the title race.

Lautaro Martienz: “Inter Ready For Monaco & AC Milan”

Asked if Inter are ready for the matches against Monaco and Milan, Inter captain Lautaro Martinez replied “Yes.”

“We have to stay focused every day.”

Martinez emphasized “paying attention to every aspect, and always preparing for matches the right way.”

“Then every match obviously goes differently. But we have to always be ready to face anyone, and always compete at the highest level.”

And of his goal against Lecce yesterday, Inter captain Lautaro Martinez said that “Every time the ball comes to me, every scoring situation, I always try to take advantage of it.”

“Then when you score a certain kind of goal, it’s even better,” the Argentine continued. He scored a spectacular long-range effort yesterday.

“I battled with the defender. I made a half-feint towards Denzel, and then I shot it with my left foot.”

“That’s not my stronger foot,” Martinez noted. “But then it went in off the crossbar, which is always great.”
