Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has called up four players from the Under-19 team to face Venezia, including a first call-up for Luka Topalovic.
This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They report that the 18-year-old has joined three other players from the Primavera team in the senior squad amid an injury crisis.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is having to work around a number of injuries.
In defense, Benjamin Pavard has returned to fitness. However, Francesco Acerbi is not yet back, and Yann Bisseck has picked up a thigh injury.
Meanwhile, in midfield, both Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan will miss tomorrow’s Serie A clash with Venezia.
Inzaghi will have to work around these injury headaches in naming his starting eleven tomorrow. But also the entire Inter squad.
As he has often done, the Inter coach is turning to the Under-19 or Primavera team.
In goal, Alessandro Calligaris continues to have a place in the squad, as Raffaele Di Gennaro is still recovering from surgery.
Then, in defense, Mike Aidoo is in the squad.
In midfield, Thomas Berenbruch is in the squad, as he has been in a number of recent matches.
But there is also another notable name in midfield. Teenager Luka Topalovic will get his first senior call-up after shining with the Primavera team.
