Inter Milan reportedly consider next week to be the make-or-break one for their pursuit of Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They also note that Arsenal are lurking in the background to challenge the Nerazzurri.
Inter Milan have now been publicly pursuing Ademola Lookman for the better part of a month.
In fact, by all accounts the Nerazzurri had hoped to wrap up a deal for the Nigerian by the start of August.
That putative “deadline” has now long come and gone.

In the meantime, Lookman has done just about everything he can to force Atalanta’s hand.
The 27-year-old former Leicester City and Fulham forward has issued a public transfer request, no-showed training for the past several days, and even left Italy.
Right now, there is a calm before the storm as far as the finale of this transfer soap opera.
Inter President Beppe Marotta is in fact outside of Italy himself at the moment. However, he returns on Sunday.
And at the start of next week, Tuttosport report, Inter expect the decisive talks to finally take place.
If Inter can’t break Atalanta’s resolve next week, they never will.
So far, the Nerazzurri haven’t given up. But Atalanta have forced them to be very patient, as they have been cagey about the fee that they want.
Furthermore, it seems evident that La Dea are hoping that as more time passes, other big clubs will consider making an offer.
