Inter Milan in talks to sign Frenchman Oumar Solet | OneFootball

It has been quite the rise for Oumar Solet (26). When his contract at Red Bull Salzburg expired, it wasn’t like he was snapped up. Instead, it took several months for him to find a new club. He joined Udinese on a free transfer in January 2025 and he has since gone from strength to strength, establishing himself as one of the best centre-backs in Italy. 

It is natural, therefore, that current Serie A champions Inter Milan are interested in the Frenchman. Solet’s contract with Udinese only has one year remaining, however, they could be about to make a big profit on the defender, according to a report from L’Équipe. 

The publication understands that, while there is not yet an agreement between the two Italian clubs, talks are advancing positively. The deal could see Udinese receive a fee between €25-30m for a player whose contract only runs until the end of next season.
