Inter Milan have opened talks with Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemovic as they begin planning for the summer transfer window.
According to Sky Sport, via FCInterNews, Inter are the first club to move in a concrete way for the Bosnia international.
Indeed, having already made contact with the player’s entourage ahead of a potential June move.
Any January operation is effectively ruled out.
Sassuolo have no intention of letting the 2003-born defender leave midway through the season and consider him an important part of their current project.

Inter’s interest is therefore focused entirely on the summer.
The Nerazzurri are tracking the defender’s development closely and see him as a profile that fits their longer-term planning at the back.
Indeed, rather than an immediate solution.
Competition, however, is expected. Juventus are also monitoring the situation. The Bianconeri know the player well, having previously had him on their books.
They also retain a 50% sell-on clause from his move to Sassuolo.
That detail could influence negotiations later in the year. It gives Juventus a financial interest in any future transfer and could complicate Inter’s path if talks advance.
For now, Inter have taken the first step. The coming months will determine whether early contact turns into a concrete summer move.
