Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi will reportedly make numerous changes to his starting line-up in tonight’s UEFA Champions League match against Young Boys.

According to Sky Sport, as reported by FCInterNews, Inzaghi will make as many as five alterations to the starting XI that overcame Roma 1-0 last Sunday.

Inter emerged victorious from a heavyweight clash at the Stadio Olimpico.

Lautaro Martinez netted only his third Serie A goal this season to propel the Nerazzurri past Ivan Juric’s team.

However, little did anyone know how costly that trip to the capital would be.

Only 12 minutes into the game, Inzaghi had to replace Hakan Calhanoglu for a thigh injury.

Sixteen minutes later, Francesco Acerbi limped off the pitch with a hamstring problem.

Therefore, Inter took Wednesday’s trip to Bern significantly weakened by injuries.

Calhanoglu and Acerbi have joined the likes of Tajon Buchanan and Kristjan Asllani in the treatment room.

But if it’s any consolation, Piotr Zielinski has recovered from a minor muscle strain.

Yann Sommer will keep his place in goal.

However, Benjamin Pavard will be the only ‘survivor’ in a new-look defensive trio.

De Vrij will swoop in for Acerbi, while Yann Bisseck will replace Alessandro Bastoni on the left-hand side.

Bastoni has been critical for Inter, yet he must rest following an exhausting international break.

Moving up the field, Federico Dimarco will shift to the bench.

Indeed, the Italy international will give his place away to Brazilian wingback Carlos Augusto.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan will line up next to the ex-Monza star.

But his long-term partner, Calhanoglu, will not be there. Instead, Inzaghi will deploy Barella as a makeshift deep-lying playmaker.

Barella’s new role means Davide Frattesi will return to the starting XI.

On the right flank, Denzel Dumfries will dislodge Matteo Darmian.

Last but not least, Marko Arnautovic and Mehdi Taremi will replace Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram in the final third.
