Inter Milan reportedly keep close tabs on Parma’s Adrien Bernabe and Hellas Verona’s Belahyane to bolster their midfield options.

According to Corriere dello Sport, as reported by FCInter1908, the two Serie A talents are on the Nerazzurri’s radar amid the club’s pursuit of Hakan Calhanoglu’s alternative.

Inter President Beppe Marotta is eager to strengthen Simone Inzaghi’s formidable midfield.

Calhanoglu has been omnipresent since swapping allegiances at San Siro in 2021.

After a topsy-turvy spell at AC Milan, the Turkey international has flourished at Inter.

However, the 30-year-old needs rest and the Inter chiefs are working on finding an alternative.

Kristjan Asllani has been Calhanoglu’s deputy.

Yet, the reigning Scudetto holders are attentive to market opportunities.

And there are several in Serie A, starting with Bernabe.

Bernabe has recently come to Inter’s attention.

In addition to Inter, La Liga title hopefuls Barcelona have registered an interest in the young gun.

That’s hardly surprising, considering Bernabe made his first football steps at the famous La Masia.

However, he has made a name for himself in Italy.

Therefore, it stands to reason he’ll be keen to stay in Serie A, handing Inter an upper hand on the Catalan giants.

But Bernabe isn’t the only name on Inter’s shortlist.

Belahyane has emerged as another exciting profile despite his relatively sparse playing time at Hellas Verona.

The 20-year-old switched to Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi from OGC Nice last January.

He only made two Serie A appearances in the second half of last season.

But after Paolo Zanetti’s arrival at the helm, Belahyane has become a permanent first-team fixture.

Indeed, he has started all seven league matches this season, helping Verona to three wins.
