Inter Milan are preparing a new offer to sign Al-Ittihad winger Moussa Diaby in the winter transfer window (h/t journalist Fabrice Hawkins).

The Nerazzurri have identified the ex-Aston Villa star as a top target in this window. They have already seen their loan proposal with a buy-option worth €35 million knocked back by the Saudi giants.

However, the 26-year-old is keen on securing a move to San Siro. He has reached an agreement on personal terms with Inter Milan for a contract worth €4.5 million per year.

Al-Ittihad are open to parting ways with Diaby only on a permanent sale or if Inter include a mandatory purchase option in the deal.

Tottenham Hotspur have enquired about the Frenchman’s availability, but his preference for Inter Milan gives the Italian giants an edge.

Diaby has been a pivotal figure for Ittihad since joining them in 2024, racking up eight goals and 27 assists over the last two seasons.

He is highly versatile to play on both flanks, known for his explosive pace, dribbling and creative passes.

Inter manager Cristian Chivu is said to have called Diaby directly to explain his project and convince him to move to San Siro.

With Inter not known for deploying wingers in their 3-5-2 formation, Diaby might have to adapt to a newer role, such as wing-back.

The Nerazzurri are hectic in the transfer market, working on numerous deals before Monday’s deadline.

They have agreed personal terms with Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, and are in talks to get the green light from the Reds.

The English midfielder’s arrival could facilitate Davide Frattesi’s exit from San Siro, with Nottingham Forest pushing to sign the Italian international.

Yanis Massolin of Serie B club Modena is closing in on a move to Inter, with the talks in the final stages.

Inter are also in talks to sign Genoa full-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy as a replacement for injured Denzel Dumfries.

Liverpool have enquired about Dumfries’ transfer during Jones’ negotiations.
