Inter Milan are expected to revisit their interest in Al-Ittihad winger Moussa Diaby this summer after failing to secure the French winger in January.

The Nerazzurri are already planning their transfer strategy alongside Cristian Chivu, with several areas of the squad under review ahead of next season.

Attack is one of them, despite a solid core already in place.

Inter had previously approached Al-Ittihad in January with a loan offer that included a conditional obligation to buy worth around €35 million including bonuses.

However, the Saudi club rejected the proposal, forcing Inter to look elsewhere in the short term.

Now, according to TuttoSport, via FCInterNews, Diaby has returned to the shortlist as Chivu looks for a different attacking profile.

While Lautaro Martinez remains untouchable and Marcus Thuram’s future will be decisive, Inter also value the contributions of young options like Pio Esposito and Ange-Yoan Bonny.

Even so, there is a desire to add pace and directness in wide areas.

Diaby fits that profile, offering explosive speed and the ability to stretch defences. His versatility across the frontline also makes him an attractive option in a system that could evolve under Chivu.

Inter’s broader plans include reinforcement in multiple departments. Tarik Muharemovic is the top defensive target, while midfield interest remains strong in Roma’s Manu Koné.

Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario has also been identified as a potential long-term replacement for Yann Sommer.

For now, much will depend on negotiations with Al-Ittihad and whether the Saudi side soften their stance. But Inter’s interest in Diaby remains alive as they prepare for a crucial summer window.
