Inter Milan looked like a team “transformed” in yesterday’s thrilling Champions League draw against Barcelona.
This is the view in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan had an absolutely dreadful week going into yesterday’s Champions League semifinal first leg against Barcelona.
The Nerazzurri lost three straight matches in all competitions.
Defeats at the hands of Bologna and Roma in Serie A gave Napoli the advantage in the title race.
Meanwhile, Inter suffered a humbling 0-3 loss at the hands of AC Milan in the Coppa Italia. That derailed their Treble dreams decisively.

Inter Milan needed to turn a corner mentally against Barcelona yesterday.
However, that is exactly what the Nerazzurri did.
Inter played with the same kind of inspiration that they’d shown in both legs of their Champions League quarterfinal tie against Bayern Munich.
Therefore, Inter had shown that despite the apparent fatigue in their last few matches, they can still rise to the occasion.
Inter were present in the physical battle. And tactically, they covered the spaces well in front of their own goal, while taking advantage of the gaps that Barcelona left.
This will have felt like vindication after three losses in a row in all competitions.
