Inter Milan star Hakan Calhanoglu has bounced back from a series of fitness setbacks at the start of the new calendar year.

Speaking to Sport Mediaset via FCInterNews, the 32-year-old confirmed that he has ‘found his rhythm’ after a rough patch earlier in 2026.

Heavily linked with a summer move to Galatasaray, Calhanoglu could leave San Siro in style.

Indeed, the skilled midfielder is close to winning his second Scudetto in the Nerazzurri colors, with Inter sitting seven points clear of second-placed Napoli.

Meanwhile, the former AC Milan star returned to the scoresheet on Easter Sunday, scoring an absolute screamer in a 5-2 rout of Roma.

As a result, Hakan Calhanoglu has now scored nine goals and added three assists in just 20 league appearances this term.

Unfortunately, several injury setbacks have hindered his impact at the start of 2026.

He sustained a calf injury in a 2-2 draw against Napoli in early January, forcing him to stay on the sidelines mid-February.

Furthermore, he has made just three league appearances since returning from injury in the second Derby d’Italia of the season.

“Now I’ve found my rhythm. When I follow it, it’s different for me. I feel good physically, my plays come off, it’s a completely different story.”

Fresh from a superb performance against Roma, Calhanoglu is likely to make another Serie A start on Sunday when Inter take on Como.

Meanwhile, his long-term future at San Siro remains uncertain, with his current contract expiring in 2027.

However, the Nerazzurri are open to extending his deal at the end of the season, provided he stays fit for the remainder of the campaign.
