Inter Milan Vice-President Reveals Ambitious Transfer Plans For The Summer: “Important Players Will Arrive” | OneFootball

Inter Milan vice-president Javier Zanetti delivered his verdict on the club’s ambitious plans for the summer transfer window.

Speaking to ESPN via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri chiefs revealed plans to sign ‘important’ players in the coming months.

Despite lifting the Scudetto in 2023/24, Inter had a relatively quiet summer last year.

Indeed, only three players moved to San Siro.

Piotr Zielinski and Mehdi Taremi joined the club on Bosman deals, while Josep Martinez arrived from Genoa for €14 million.

However, Inter will return to be among the protagonists in the upcoming transfer window.

The Nerazzurri agreed Petar Sucic’s arrival from Dinamo Zagreb toward the end of January.

Yet, the Croatian starlet will complete his switch in June.

Meanwhile, Nicola Zalewski has reportedly earned the club’s trust.

Therefore, Inter could soon activate a buyout clause in his loan agreement with Roma.

But more high-profile deals could be on the cards.

For starters, Olympique Marseille’s Luis Henrique should be among Inter’s marquee signings.

“Right now, we’re all still riding the excitement of what happened last night,” Zanetti said. “However, the time to sit down and start planning next season is coming soon.

“With the experience gained from all the matches we’ve played – and those still to come – some reinforcements will be made.

“A few important players will arrive.”

Meanwhile, Zanetti reiterated Inter’s bid to shine at the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

“We want to approach the Club World Cup with great seriousness, first and foremost for the club we represent.

“Everyone likes to win and compete. We’ll try to do our best and prepare in the best way possible.

“We’ll recharge our batteries for this new tournament.”

Before that, Inter will try to win the Scudetto and secure Champions League glory.
