Alessandro Bastoni will reportedly miss Saturday’s exciting Serie A clash between Inter Milan and Atalanta due to injury.

According to FCInter1908, Cristian Chivu will be unable to count on the Italian defender this weekend.

Inter Milan must quickly recover from a disappointing 1-0 defeat to AC Milan in last Sunday’s Serie A derby.

However, it’s worth noting that the Nerazzurri lost Alessandro Bastoni to injury during the match.

Indeed, the 26-year-old had a strong collision with French midfielder Adrien Rabiot, forcing Chivu to take him off immediately.

Though Inter had hoped to welcome their defensive mainstay back before Saturday, Bastoni is likely to miss Atalanta’s visit to San Siro.

Bastoni trained separately from the squad yesterday. Marred by a minor knee problem, the former Atalanta center-back won’t be at Chivu’s disposal this weekend.
