Inter Milan have no intention of bringing back Sebastiano or Francesco Pio Esposito next summer despite one or two rumours to the contrary.

This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They report that Empoli plan to sign Sebastiano on a permanent basis, whilst the plan for Francesco Pio is to loan him out to a team in Serie A next summer.

Earlier today, a report emerged suggesting that Inter are considering brothers Sebastiano and Francesco Pio Esposito as possible attacking options for next season.

Both are currently under contract with the Nerazzurri. However, both are out on loan this season.

In the case of Sebastiano, the 22-year-old is currently playing for Empoli.

This marks the first major spell in Serie A for the young striker.

Sebastiano has played for the likes of SPAL, Venezia, Baria, and Sampdoria in Serie B. He has also had loan spells with Basel and Anderlecht.

However, the move to Empoli seems to have worked out for Sebastiano so far. He has scored two goals so far this season to cap off a run of good performances.

Meanwhile, Francesco Pio is on loan at Spezia in Serie B. This is his second season on loan with the Ligurian club.

Inter Won’t Bring Back Sebastiano Or Francesco Pio Esposito

Even with the good form that Sebastiano and Francesco Pio Esposito have been in this season, FCIN report that Inter have not considered the idea of bringing them back to bolster their attacking options.

In the case of Sebastiano, it currently looks very likely that Empoli will sign him on a permanent basis.

The Tuscan club have a purchase option as part of Sebastiano’s loan deal. They can sign the 22-year-old for a fee of €5 million.

Empoli would certainly see Esposito as worth that fee.

And if the Tuscans were to decide to sign Esposito and then sell him, they believe that they could do so for a fee of €10-12 million.

Meanwhile, Francesco Pio will likely return to Inter from Spezia next summer. But not to stay.

Rather, Inter’s intention would be to loan the young striker back out again.

Going into this season, Inter and Pio Esposito decided that the best option was for him to spend another season in Serie B, growing at what has become a familiar environment in Spezia.

But the clear improvements in the 19-year-old’s performances this campaign mean that Inter believe he is ready for a loan spell in the top flight next season.
