Inter Milan president Giuseppe Marotta has dismissed reports that Arsenal have made an approach for Pio Esposito.
Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign the 20-year-old, who has had a breakout season in Serie A this season. Esposito has scored seven goals 37 appearances for Inter, while he’s impressed in Azzurri colours with three goals in five caps for the Italy national team.
The youngster had won Serie B’s Footballer of the Year in 2024-25 after an impressive loan at Spezia. His rapid progress has caught the attention of rival teams.
Arsenal have been reportedly interested in signing the striker, to provide competition for Viktor Gyokeres at the Emirates.
However, Marotta has insisted that Inter have received no approach for the player – and have no interest in negotiating a sale.
“Arsenal did not ask for Pio Esposito despite reports,” he said.
“We are not planning to sell top players, player trading is not our priority. We see Pio Esposito as key gem for our future. Anything can happen in the future, but I mean a very far future.”
