Inter signed Manuel Akanji on loan from Manchester City with an option to buy for €15m, but Fabrizio Romano claims they have already decided to buy him outright.
The central defender arrived on transfer deadline day on a one-season loan at a cost of €1m.

There is an option to make it permanent for a further €15m, which becomes an obligation if he participates in at least 50 per cent of their matches this term, or if Inter win the Scudetto.
So far, he has made three Serie A appearances and one in the Champions League for their victory away to Ajax, all in the starting XI.
According to transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano, Inter have been so impressed with Akanji that they are prepared to activate the option to buy even without waiting for the obligation to kick in.
The Switzerland international has played for Winterthur, Basel and Borussia Dortmund, moving to Manchester City in 2022 for €20m.
He celebrated his 30th birthday in July.
