Despite some reports from Spain, Inter and Barcelona aren’t negotiating for Alessandro Bastoni at this stage, although his departure is a possibility. The Nerazzurri could take the chance to turn a major profit and spread the income over several additions, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.
The Serie A leaders would seriously contemplate parting ways with the defender if they received offers in the neighborhood of €70/80M. They oppose the inclusion of makeweights in the deal. Gerard Martin has been rumored in that regard, but the officials don’t rate him that highly.
Inter are mulling over cashing in on Bastoni to foot their summer window. They have some ambitious and pricey targets on their radar, for instance, Manu Koné, who’s worth €40/50M, and Guglielmo Vicario. As for the replacement, they have recontacted the entourage of Oumar Solet, who was a priority target in the past, in addition to keeping tabs on Tarik Muharemovic.
According to Fabrizio Romano (via SOSFanta), a €50M offer wouldn’t suffice to convince the Nerazzurri. While Nicolò Barella has come under scrutiny and has been linked to other sides amid a so-so season, everything has been quiet around him on the transfer market so far. Newcastle United kicked the tires on him before acquiring Sandro Tonali. The Saudi Pro League clubs have routinely chased after him, but he never provided an opening to such a destination.
The buzz about his exit appears more serious than in the past. Considering the fees for lesser and older center-backs in recent windows, the valuation isn’t that absurd. However, that kind of dough is more readily available in the Premier League.
