Inter ‘to have’ Calhanoglu back at Fiorentina as Italy wait for Bastoni’s return

According to Sky Sport Italia, Hakan Calhanoglu has recovered from a calf injury and will be available for Inter’s trip to Fiorentina on Sunday, while Alessandro Bastoni could join full training tomorrow.

Serie A’s top goalscorer, Lautaro Martinez, has stepped up his workload but is still training apart. If he does not rejoin the group in the next two days, he will miss the game.

Bastoni sustained the problem in the Milan derby and sat out the recent meeting with Atalanta. He has spent the last few days working only partly with the squad.

A full session tomorrow would hand Bastoni the green light for Fiorentina and for Italy’s World Cup play-off semifinal against Northern Ireland on 26 March.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan will not be involved at Fiorentina and is aiming to return after the break, probably at home to former club Roma on Easter.
