Inter have concluded positively the negotiation with Olympique Marseille to sign Luis Henrique, which had been going on for a few weeks. The two clubs have concurred to a €23M fee plus €2M add-ons. Only a few details are missing before the signatures, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

If the Nerazzurri weren’t playing in the Champions League final, the Brazilian winger would have likely flown to Milan shortly. Instead, he’ll do it early next week and will be ready for the Club World Cup. The two sides are ironing out the payment structure, but the deal is de facto done.

Luis Henrique will be the second Inter signing of the summer after Luka Sucic from Dinamo Zagreb. Olympique Marseille had started from a €30M valuation, but the Nerazzurri patiently worked to reduce it.

They have already spent €37M, as they have a larger budget than in previous summers thanks to years of frugality and their deep run in the Champions League.

The newcomer can feature in a few roles but will serve primarily as Denzel Dumfries’ deputy. He has put up 11 goals and 16 assists in 108 games with the French side. He thrived last campaign under Roberto De Zerbi, hitting the net 9 times and setting up 10 teammates. Ange-Yoan Bonny is the next priority target for the Serie A runner-ups.
