Simone Inzaghi insists ‘experience certainly helps’ for Inter in the Champions League Final against PSG. ‘We’ve got one small step left, now it’s up to us.’
It kicks off at the Munich Football Arena in Munich at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT, 21.00 CET).
This is the second Champions League Final in just three seasons for Inzaghi’s side, who were beaten 1-0 by Manchester City in Istanbul back in 2023 following a game that was much tighter than many expected.
“It is a special match that everyone would love to play. We got here in the right way, we prepared it well, now it’s up to us,” Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italia.

While Inter are almost unchanged from the side that played in Istanbul only two years ago, Paris Saint-Germain have never won the trophy and Marquinhos is the only player who also started in their most recent Final in 2020.
“Experience certainly helps. We already knew how to go into this game, now there is one small step left and we will try to put in a great performance.”

Does the coach know what his final words will be in the locker room before they go out to play this evening?
“I will see in the moment, but aside from final words, it’s about the journey. It has been a great journey so far and we’ve got one final step to take,” concluded Inzaghi.
PSG are hoping to complete the Treble this season after securing the Ligue 1 title and Coupe de France, but Inter risk ending the campaign empty-handed.
