Morocco will hope to make good of their first Africa Cup of Nations semi-final since 2004 as the host nation battle free-scoring Nigeria for a place in Sunday’s tournament finale.

The Atlas Lions are the competition favourites and proved they warranted such a title by breezing past five-time winners Cameroon in the last eight, with Afcon top scorer Brahim Diaz making it five goals in as many games for him.

Nigeria denied the Moroccans a fiery showdown with north African neighbours Algeria as goals from strike partnership Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams delivered the Super Eagles a 2-0 win.

The winner of the tie will set up a final clash with either Egypt or Senegal in Rabat on the weekend, who are facing off in the first semi-final of Wednesday afternoon.

When is Nigeria vs Morocco?

Nigeria’s clash with Morocco in the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals kicks off at 8pm GMT at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah in Rabat, Morocco.

Viewers in the UK can watch the game for free on E4, with coverage starting at 7:30pm. Fans can also stream the game online using Channel 4’s online streaming service.

Nigeria have had no problems up front but have been dealt a worrying blow in defensive midfield with captain Wilfred Ndidi suspended after accumulating bookings. There are also concerns over the fitness of Bright Osayi-Samuel, who was forced off late against Algeria.

Morocco have also had to contend with their fair share of injuries this tournament but the return of captain and star man Achraf Hakimi suggested they had survived the worst of it. Midfielder Azzedine Ounahi, one of the breakout stars of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, remains sidelined with a calf problem, alongside Romain Saiss.
