Sheffield Wednesday fan pundit Patrick revealed he was not pleased with the prospect of Mike Ashley buying the Championship club.

The administrators involved in naming a preferred bidder for Sheffield Wednesday have been told to avoid selecting former Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley.
It’s no secret that the controversial 61-year-old Walsall-born businessman is keen on purchasing the Owls, and he made an offer of around £20m in late November.
That was never likely to be accepted, and it was thought that the Sports Direct chief would move on from Wednesday as there would be bigger bids on the table. Yet, in a fresh development, it has been said that Ashley is considering returning with an improved offer.

As outlined above, despite having experience in the game, the potential arrival of Ashley would not be a popular one with all the Wednesday supporters, as he was heavily criticised for the way he ran Newcastle.
Those thoughts were echoed by Wednesday fan pundit Patrick McKenna, when he was asked by FLW about the prospect of Ashley returning with a new offer for the club.
“When we heard the first bid had failed, I was hoping that would be the last we would hear regarding him, however it seems he is still hanging around trying to buy the club," Patrick told FLW.
“Quite simply, he isn’t the sort of person that Sheffield Wednesday need right now. He’s not the sort of person any club that’s looking to improve or turn over a new leaf needs!
“He’s the sort of person who comes in, does it on the cheap, puts in minimal investment into the infrastructure and Wednesday would be a brand for him to further his business interests, so it would be a very underwhelming option.
“When Chansiri went, the talk was about rich individuals with plans to improve the club, but I do not see where improving the club comes into Ashley’s vision.
"He is viewing us as a distressed asset that he can use for himself, and it would not pick up the fan base, who are a bit more deflated after the derby defeat, and there’s a bit of unease as we wait for the new owner to come in.
“If it was Ashley, it would be disappointing to say the least.”
It’s fair to say that Ashley’s arrival would not go down well with the majority of Wednesday fans, particularly because reports have linked several parties who are on a different level in terms of their wealth.
Some may say that Ashley would at least bring financial stability to the club, and he would ensure they operate in a much more responsible way.

However, the Owls will want someone with a bigger vision, and someone who has the desire and funds to allow them to dream and kick-on in the years to come - and there would be major question marks over Ashley on that.
Ultimately, though, the administrators will be assessing all the official offers that have been made for the club, and they will make a decision with all the information at hand. The major positive from their most recent statement was that there is plenty of interest, so Wednesday fans won’t be overly worried, even if they would like the process to be quicker.
Whoever is the preferred bidder will be aware of the major challenge they are taking on, with Henrik Pedersen’s men almost certainly set to be playing in League One next season.
The Owls were deducted 12 points after entering administration, whilst they were also hit with a further six-point deduction due to EFL breaches that came under former owner Dejphon Chansiri.
