Real Madrid star Antonio Rudiger has suggested he wants the club to sign Arsenal centre-back William Saliba going forward.

The German picked the France international among his best three centre-backs in the world right now and has admitted he would love to play alongside the 23-year-old.

Rudiger did not think twice before mentioning the Arsenal star when asked who he would land if he could sign one defensive partner right now in the world of football to play with.

“To have Saliba would be great and if he continues to do what he does…” the former Chelsea star said on The Inside Scoop.

“I don’t scare nobody (Arsenal fans) but at the end of the day, it is clear, if he does what he does…”

Having Saliba and Rudiger will make Madrid tougher to beat, but getting it to happen could prove tricky as the Gunners are not looking to sell one of their best players anytime soon.

The Frenchman has established himself as a key player and regular under manager Mikel Arteta over the last two campaigns, playing a crucial role in their last two campaigns as they finished second behind Manchester City in the Premier League table.

He signed a new four-year deal until 2027 in July 2023 and could get another contract extension soon given his importance to Arsenal.

Rudiger knows that having such a player with him at centre-back will take things to the next level, and it is safe to say that the North Londoners have a world-class defender within their ranks.

Saliba will now be desperate to win the major titles with Arsenal to consolidate his status as one of the best in the world, and his chances of doing so this season are very high following a brilliant start to the Premier League and Champions League for his side.
